Book Scanner turns the pages of a printed book into text you can read on your device. It is built so that what you scan stays with you.
What we collect
Nothing. Book Scanner has no account, no analytics SDK, no advertising, and no server of its own. We do not collect, store, or transmit your scans, the recognized text, your highlights or notes, or any personal information.
How your data is handled
- Text recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Page images are processed locally and never uploaded.
- Your books — recognized text, page images, cover images, highlights, notes and reading progress — are stored on your device. When iCloud sync is on (the default when you are signed in to iCloud), the same data is also stored in your personal iCloud account, in a private CloudKit database that only your devices can read, and synced between them by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We cannot access it. You can turn sync off in Settings at any time.
- Camera access is used only while you are on the scan or cover-capture screen.
- Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details and no personal information; the app only checks whether the Pro purchase exists on your device.
Permissions
- Camera: to scan pages and covers.
- Photo Library (when you choose to import): to read a photo you pick.
Children
Book Scanner is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.

Book Scanner는 종이책의 페이지를 기기에서 읽을 수 있는 텍스트로 바꿔주는 앱이며, 스캔한 내용이 사용자 곁에 남도록 만들어졌습니다.
수집하는 정보
없습니다. Book Scanner에는 계정, 분석 SDK, 광고, 자체 서버가 없습니다. 스캔 이미지, 인식된 텍스트, 밑줄과 메모, 개인정보를 수집·저장·전송하지 않습니다.
데이터 처리 방식
- 문자 인식은 Apple Vision 프레임워크로 기기 안에서만 처리됩니다. 페이지 이미지는 기기에서 처리되며 업로드되지 않습니다.
- 책 데이터(인식된 텍스트, 페이지 이미지, 표지 이미지, 밑줄, 메모, 읽기 진행률)는 기기에 저장됩니다. iCloud 동기화가 켜져 있으면(iCloud에 로그인된 경우 기본값) 같은 데이터가 사용자 본인의 iCloud 계정, 즉 사용자의 기기만 읽을 수 있는 비공개 CloudKit 데이터베이스에도 저장되어 Apple 개인정보 보호 정책에 따라 Apple이 기기 간에 동기화합니다. 개발자는 이 데이터에 접근할 수 없습니다. 설정에서 언제든 동기화를 끌 수 있습니다.
- 카메라는 스캔 화면과 표지 촬영 화면에서만 사용됩니다.
- 결제는 Apple App Store가 처리합니다. 저희는 결제 정보나 개인정보를 받지 않으며, 앱은 기기에 Pro 구매 내역이 있는지만 확인합니다.
권한
- 카메라: 페이지와 표지를 스캔하기 위해.
- 사진 보관함(가져오기를 선택한 경우): 선택한 사진을 읽기 위해.
아동
Book Scanner는 13세 미만을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 누구의 데이터도 수집하지 않습니다.
