About

Layerz is built by one person,
in the open, for people who make apps.

No venture round, no growth team. A small company in Seoul that has shipped Apple apps for years and got tired of designing every screen twice: once as a mockup, once for real.

I design and build Layerz myself: the editor, the native runtime, the docs, this site. If something is wrong, the email in the footer reaches me, not a queue.

Before Layerz I spent years on design tools and on Apple apps, on both sides of the designer–developer handoff. Layerz is my answer to that handoff: don't hand off a picture of the app, build the real screen and run it.

Why Layerz exists

A mockup is a promise. The app is the thing.

Design tools are very good at pictures of apps. Then someone rebuilds the picture in code, and the two drift apart from the first day. Every team knows this; every team pays for it.

Layerz skips the picture. You lay out real UIKit components on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, bind them to real data, describe the behavior with Action Flows, and run it. What you designed is what runs — same components, same navigation, same API calls.

It is not a replacement for shipping an app. It is a replacement for the mockup: the fastest way to find out whether an idea works on a real phone, with real data, before anyone writes it for real.

Straight answers

Where do my projects live?
On your device, as .layerz files, and in iCloud Drive if you keep them there. Layerz has no account and no server that stores your work.
What happens to my API calls?
They go from your device straight to the API you configured. There is no Layerz server in between, and your keys and responses never pass through us.
Who is the company?
Layerz Corp., Seoul, Korea. The same company behind PDF OCR Pro, Moki and Lunar, all on the App Store.
How do I reach you?
support@layerz.app for anything: bugs, questions, ideas, or to tell me what you built. Release notes are on the releases page.
