Layerz Canvas Privacy Policy

Layerz Canvas is a design, motion and screen-recording app for Mac. It is built so that your work stays on your computer.
What we collect
Layerz Canvas has no account and no server of its own. We never collect, store, or transmit your documents, screen recordings, audio, imported media, file names, or any personal information.
The app does send anonymous usage statistics through Google's Firebase Analytics: which features are used and how often — for example that a recording was made, an export was saved and in which format, or the purchase sheet was shown — together with the app version, macOS version and device model. This data is not linked to you, contains nothing from your documents, and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. It is handled under Google's privacy policy. You can turn it off at any time in Settings ▸ General ▸ Share anonymous usage statistics; collection stops immediately.
How your data is handled
- Documents (
.lcanvaspackages) are saved where you choose on your Mac or in your own iCloud Drive. Imported images, video and audio are copied into the document package so it stays self-contained. - Screen recordings are captured with Apple's ScreenCaptureKit only while you are recording, and are written straight into the document. Nothing is uploaded. Recording requires the Screen & System Audio Recording permission, which you grant in System Settings.
- Microphone and system audio are recorded only when you turn those options on for a recording.
- Exports (images, video, Lottie) are written to the location you pick. Free-tier video exports carry a small "Made with Layerz Canvas" mark; nothing else is added to your files.
- Purchases (Layerz Canvas Pro) are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Purchase status is checked on your device with Apple's StoreKit.
- Local automation. Layerz Canvas can optionally run a local automation server for AI assistants and scripts on the same Mac. It is off by default, listens only on your computer (127.0.0.1), and never reaches the internet.
Permissions
- Screen & System Audio Recording: to record your screen and system sound.
- Microphone: to record narration with a screen recording.
- Files: only the documents and media you open, import or export.
Children
Layerz Canvas is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.

수집하는 정보
Layerz Canvas에는 계정과 자체 서버가 없습니다. 문서, 화면 녹화, 오디오, 가져온 미디어, 파일 이름, 개인정보는 수집·저장·전송하지 않습니다.
앱은 Google Firebase Analytics를 통해 익명 사용 통계를 보냅니다. 어떤 기능을 얼마나 썼는지 — 예를 들어 녹화를 했다, 어떤 포맷으로 내보냈다, 구매 안내가 표시됐다 — 와 앱 버전, macOS 버전, 기기 모델입니다. 이 데이터는 사용자와 연결되지 않고, 문서 내용을 포함하지 않으며, 광고나 앱 간 추적에 쓰이지 않습니다. 처리에는 Google 개인정보 보호 정책이 적용됩니다. 설정 ▸ General ▸ Share anonymous usage statistics에서 언제든 끌 수 있으며, 끄는 즉시 수집이 중단됩니다.
데이터 처리 방식
- 문서(
.lcanvas패키지)는 사용자가 고른 Mac의 위치나 본인의 iCloud Drive에 저장됩니다. 가져온 이미지·동영상·오디오는 문서 패키지 안에 복사되어 문서 하나로 완결됩니다. - 화면 녹화는 녹화 중에만 Apple의 ScreenCaptureKit으로 캡처되어 문서에 바로 기록됩니다. 어디에도 업로드되지 않습니다. 녹화에는 시스템 설정에서 허용하는 "화면 및 시스템 오디오 녹음" 권한이 필요합니다.
- 마이크와 시스템 오디오는 녹화 옵션에서 켰을 때만 녹음됩니다.
- 내보내기(이미지·동영상·Lottie)는 사용자가 지정한 위치에 저장됩니다. 무료 티어의 동영상 내보내기에는 작은 "Made with Layerz Canvas" 표시가 붙으며, 그 외에 파일에 추가되는 것은 없습니다.
- 결제(Layerz Canvas Pro)는 Apple App Store가 처리하며, 저희는 결제 정보를 받지 않습니다. 구매 상태는 Apple StoreKit으로 기기에서 확인합니다.
- 로컬 자동화. Layerz Canvas는 같은 Mac의 AI 어시스턴트·스크립트를 위한 로컬 자동화 서버를 선택적으로 실행할 수 있습니다. 기본적으로 꺼져 있고, 컴퓨터 안(127.0.0.1)에서만 수신하며, 인터넷에 연결되지 않습니다.
권한
- 화면 및 시스템 오디오 녹음: 화면과 시스템 사운드를 녹화하기 위해.
- 마이크: 화면 녹화에 나레이션을 함께 녹음하기 위해.
- 파일: 사용자가 열거나 가져오거나 내보내는 문서와 미디어만.
아동
Layerz Canvas는 13세 미만을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 누구의 데이터도 수집하지 않습니다.
