Layerz Promo Privacy Policy

Layerz Promo is a Mac app that turns your screen recordings and screenshots into promo videos. It is built so that your work stays on your Mac.
What we collect
Layerz Promo has no account and no server of its own. We never collect, store, or transmit your projects, recordings, screenshots, music, the words you type, file names, or any personal information.
The app does send anonymous usage statistics through Google's Firebase Analytics: which features are used and how often — for example that a project was started from a starter, or a video was exported and in which format — together with the app version, macOS version and Mac model. This data is not linked to you, contains nothing from your projects, and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. It is handled under Google's privacy policy. You can turn it off at any time with Share anonymous usage statistics in the app's Settings; collection stops immediately.
How your data is handled
- Projects (
.promopackages) are saved where you choose on your Mac. The recordings, screenshots, pictures and music you add are copied into the project so it stays self-contained. - Recording a connected iPhone or iPad. When you choose Record iPhone…, the app records the screen of a device connected with a cable. macOS treats a connected device as a camera, so this asks for the Camera permission; the Mac's own camera is not used. The recording is written into your project and nothing is uploaded.
- Music generated by the app is made on your Mac. Nothing is sent to a music service.
- Exports (MP4, MOV) are written to the location you pick. Videos exported without Pro carry a small watermark; nothing else is added to your files. Open in Layerz Canvas saves a Layerz Canvas document where you choose and opens it in that app.
- Purchases (Layerz Promo Pro) are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Purchase status is checked on your Mac with Apple's StoreKit.
- Beta testing. If you test Layerz Promo through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shares with us the feedback and screenshots you choose to send and crash reports from the beta, under Apple's privacy policy. We use them only to fix and improve the app.
Permissions
- Camera: to record the screen of an iPhone or iPad connected with a cable (the Mac's camera is not used).
- Files: only the projects and media you open, add or export.
Children
Layerz Promo is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.

수집하는 정보
Layerz Promo에는 계정과 자체 서버가 없습니다. 프로젝트, 녹화, 스크린샷, 음악, 입력한 문구, 파일 이름, 개인정보는 수집·저장·전송하지 않습니다.
앱은 Google Firebase Analytics를 통해 익명 사용 통계를 보냅니다. 어떤 기능을 얼마나 썼는지 — 예를 들어 시작 템플릿으로 프로젝트를 만들었다, 어떤 포맷으로 영상을 내보냈다 — 와 앱 버전, macOS 버전, Mac 모델입니다. 이 데이터는 사용자와 연결되지 않고, 프로젝트 내용을 포함하지 않으며, 광고나 앱 간 추적에 쓰이지 않습니다. 처리에는 Google 개인정보 보호 정책이 적용됩니다. 앱 설정의 Share anonymous usage statistics에서 언제든 끌 수 있으며, 끄는 즉시 수집이 중단됩니다.
데이터 처리 방식
- 프로젝트(
.promo패키지)는 사용자가 고른 Mac의 위치에 저장됩니다. 넣은 녹화·스크린샷·그림·음악은 프로젝트 안에 복사되어 프로젝트 하나로 완결됩니다. - 연결한 iPhone·iPad 녹화. Record iPhone…을 고르면 케이블로 연결한 기기의 화면을 녹화합니다. macOS가 연결한 기기를 카메라로 다루기 때문에 카메라 권한을 요청하지만, Mac의 카메라는 쓰지 않습니다. 녹화는 프로젝트에 기록되며 어디에도 업로드되지 않습니다.
- 음악은 앱이 Mac 안에서 만듭니다. 음악 서비스로 보내는 것은 없습니다.
- 내보내기(MP4·MOV)는 사용자가 지정한 위치에 저장됩니다. Pro 없이 내보낸 영상에는 작은 워터마크가 들어가며, 그 외에 파일에 추가되는 것은 없습니다. Open in Layerz Canvas는 사용자가 고른 위치에 Layerz Canvas 문서를 저장하고 그 앱에서 엽니다.
- 결제(Layerz Promo Pro)는 Apple App Store가 처리하며, 저희는 결제 정보를 받지 않습니다. 구매 상태는 Apple StoreKit으로 Mac에서 확인합니다.
- 베타 테스트. Apple TestFlight로 테스트하는 경우, 사용자가 보내기로 한 피드백·스크린샷과 베타의 충돌 보고서를 Apple이 Apple 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 저희에게 전달합니다. 이는 앱을 고치고 개선하는 데에만 씁니다.
권한
- 카메라: 케이블로 연결한 iPhone·iPad의 화면을 녹화하기 위해(Mac의 카메라는 쓰지 않음).
- 파일: 사용자가 열거나 넣거나 내보내는 프로젝트와 미디어만.
아동
Layerz Promo는 13세 미만을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 누구의 데이터도 수집하지 않습니다.
