Common questions
- What appears in the feed?
- Photos and videos from your photo library, calendar events, to-dos from the Reminders app, and what you create in days — writing, anniversaries and check-ins. A day's photos are grouped into one post. Use the filter button at the top left (or Settings ▸ Feed) to hide any kind.
- My photos, events or to-dos don't show up.
- days shows only what you allow. Open Settings in the app and check Permissions: tap Allow next to anything that hasn't been asked yet, or tap Not Allowed to open the iOS Settings app and turn access on. With limited photo access, only the photos you selected appear.
- Is anything uploaded? Can anyone else see my feed?
- No. There are no accounts, followers or public posts. Photos, videos, events and to-dos are read on your iPhone and never sent anywhere. Your writing, comments, bookmarks, anniversaries and check-ins are stored in your own iCloud — we have no servers and cannot see them.
- How do I sync between my iPhone and iPad?
- Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on both devices and make sure iCloud is turned on for days (iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud). Settings ▸ days Data in the app shows the sync status. Photos, calendars and reminders come from each device's own libraries, so they sync the way those apps do.
- Why are they called to-dos? Can I call them reminders?
- To-dos are the items in Apple's Reminders app: adding, completing or editing one in days changes it there too. If you prefer the word reminders, turn on Settings ▸ To-Dos ▸ Call Them Reminders.
- How do anniversaries and D-days work?
- Add one from the compose button ▸ Anniversary. Choose whether it repeats every year, whether to count days (100, 200, … — the date itself is day 1), and whether to get a notification at 9 AM on the day. When your iPhone's language is Korean, you can also pick a lunar date.
- What is On This Day?
- When you have posts from this date in past years, a card for them appears in the Upcoming row at the top of the feed. Tap it to see that day. The On This Day widget shows the same memory on your Home Screen.
- What is Replay?
- The Replay tab plays your videos full screen, one after another — swipe up for the next. In its menu (top right) or in Settings ▸ Replay you can shuffle or play newest first, turn on Auto-Advance, and include your photos, each shown for a few seconds with an optional slow pan and zoom.
- The weather doesn't appear.
- Today's weather needs location access (Settings ▸ Permissions ▸ Location). By default the weather card appears in Upcoming only when rain or snow is likely; choose Always in Settings ▸ Weather to see it every day. Weather is provided by Apple Weather.
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete a single post from its editor (writing, anniversaries, check-ins, to-dos). Settings ▸ days Data ▸ Delete All Writing removes all writing from this device and iCloud. Photos, events and to-dos are yours in Photos, Calendar and Reminders — days only shows them.
